YEAR ROUND PROGRAMS

Children's After School Program:

The Prince Hall Computer Learning Center provides a low cost after school program to the children of the Western Addition. We believe that children learn best when they are cared for by nurturing staff that understands  children learn  through play . We provide tutoring and homework help Monday thru Friday and also visit each of our students classrooms several times a year.

We attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings to support the parents and the youths overall educational goals. The school visits also allow us to expand on the awareness of the social and educational system and enhance their overall educational goals. We also have enrichment classes that include dance, art, swimming, tennis and cooking.

Youth Summer Camp:

Every summer we provide an 8 week youth program. It cost $250 per child.  This program is  for children ages 5-14. The camp includes academics and enrichment activities. We collaborate directly with Mo’Magic, Magic Zone, USF, Booker T. Washington Community Center, Up on Top, Thrive House, African American Art and Culture Complex, Mayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP), Red Rose Culinary, Brothers For Change, Park and Recreation, YMCA, Sacred Heart Convent, Village Project, and many other youth and family services to assist and empower the families  of  the Western Addition Community.

Summer Reading Program

Through  the Mo Magic and USF  Teacher’s  Program, a wonderful partnership has been formed to allow the children in our program to receive extra reading assistance for 6 weeks during the summer. It helps with reduction in summer reading comprehension loss.
